Custom Plastic Injection Molds for Production-Ready Parts

Cavity Mold is a China-based plastic mold maker supporting product teams from DFM and mold design through CNC/EDM machining, mold assembly, T1 trials, modifications, and production support. With 15+ years of experience, we build custom tooling for automotive, medical, electronics, consumer, and industrial applications.

A Production-Focused Plastic Mold Maker

Good tooling starts before steel is cut. We review your part geometry, resin, tolerances, annual volume, and target cycle time to identify manufacturability risks early.

Our stated capacity includes 15 CNC machines and 8 EDM machines. Combined with DFM analysis, mold design review, and clear project communication, this workflow helps reduce avoidable mold changes and supports a predictable T1 trial.

Send your 2D drawing, 3D CAD file, material, annual volume, and key requirements. Our engineering team will review the information and outline the next steps for your project.

Why Production Teams Choose Cavity Mold

We combine hands-on tooling experience with a clear, documented process. Clients work with one team from design review to mold delivery and production support.

Core capabilities

  • Custom mold design: Parting lines, draft, gates, cooling, ejection, and maintenance are considered before manufacturing.
  • CNC and EDM machining: Precision machining for complex details and tight-fitting mold components.
  • Injection molding support: T1 trials and sample review help identify filling, cooling, appearance, fit, or dimensional issues.
  • Quality and project communication: Engineering feedback, approval points, and follow-up support keep decisions visible throughout the tooling process.

Our experience covers tooling for automotive, medical, electronics, consumer products, and industrial components. Project suitability depends on the part design, material, tolerances, and production requirements.

From DFM to T1: Our Tooling Workflow

A clear process makes it easier to understand what happens next. Each project moves through defined engineering, manufacturing, trial, and delivery stages.

DFM & Mold Design

We review parting lines, draft, wall thickness, gates, cooling, ejection, and critical tolerances before finalizing the mold design.

CNC & EDM Machining

We machine mold components using CNC and EDM processes, then prepare surfaces and details for accurate assembly.

Mold Assembly & Fit

Core, cavity, sliders, inserts, and ejector systems are assembled and checked for alignment, movement, and maintainability.

T1 Trial & Injection Molding

We run initial samples to evaluate filling, cooling, appearance, fit, and dimensions, then use the findings to guide adjustments.

How to Start a Mold Project

01.

Project Brief & Quotation

Share your 2D drawing, 3D CAD files (STEP, IGES/IGS, or XT), resin, annual volume, tolerances, and target timeline. We use this information to prepare a practical quotation and engineering review.

02.

Order & Project Kickoff

After the scope, quotation, and schedule are approved, we confirm responsibilities, key milestones, and the information required to begin the project.

03.

DFM & Mold Design

Our engineers review manufacturability, draft, parting lines, gates, cooling, ejection, steel selection, and other tooling details, then submit the design for approval.

04.

Steel, CNC & EDM

We order and prepare the steel, complete CNC and EDM machining, finish critical surfaces, and assemble the mold components.

05.

T1 Trial & Sample Review

We run the first mold trial and review the samples for filling, cooling, dimensions, appearance, and fit against the approved requirements.

06.

Mold Modification

If the T1 review identifies an improvement, we document the change, modify the tooling, and repeat the relevant checks before final approval.

07.

Cleaning, Packing & Shipment

After sample approval, we clean, protect, pack, and prepare the mold for shipment with the required project documentation.

08.

Production Support

After delivery, our team remains available for tooling questions, production-start support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and future modifications.

What You Get When You Work With Cavity Mold

We aim to make the tooling decision easier to evaluate and the manufacturing process easier to manage.

  • Initial design evaluation and DFM feedback during the quotation stage.
  • Mold-flow analysis available when part geometry or material selection makes it useful.
  • Clear approval points for DFM, 3D mold design, T1 samples, and modifications.
  • One workflow covering engineering, mold manufacturing, trial molding, shipment, and after-sales support.
  • Practical guidance based on more than 15 years of mold-making experience.
